What Are You Waiting For?

Before you were even born, God had a plan for your life. He gave you a unique purpose to do something great in your lifetime. Imagine that every single person, billions and billions of people in every country of the world, were each specially created and specially gifted, unique and different from everybody else. No two people are alike. No two people’s lives are alike. Your life can only be lived by you and your purpose can only be fulfilled by you. You may have gifts and talents similar to someone else, but they are never exactly the same.

So, what are you waiting for? Unfortunately, many people realize what they were born to do in life too late; some people never even realize it at all. Others know what they were put on earth to do, but are waiting for a special, perfect, indefinite time to do it. You don’t want to be in any of these three categories. Life, with all of its highs and lows, ups and downs, is happening right now. Yes, if you are alive and reading this, you are living life right now.

There is no better time to write that book, sing that song, start that business, play that sport, travel to that country, or do whatever it is you dream of doing than right now. Tomorrow, some time in the future, some perfect moment, even the next minute is not promised to you or to me. If we are alive, we are responsible for living the life we have been gifted with right now. Yes, your life, my life, and every single person’s life is a gift from the genius Creator, God. He put all of us here to do our special thing and to make the world what it should be.

Anne Frank said, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” So, again, what are you waiting for? The time is now for you to discover your purpose, find your passion, pursue your dreams, and make a difference in the world. Stop waiting and get busy. Make your life count today.
