7 Thoughts That Will Change Your View of Life

You will spend most of your time in life with yourself. Make sure you are as interesting, kind, and loving as possible. Be the kind of person that you want to be around. If you like to be around yourself, perhaps others will want to be around you as well.

Take risks, but don’t take stupid risks. Don’t risk your life not doing what you were made to do and what you love to do, thinking you will have the freedom and time to do it at an indefinite time in the future. Take the risk to live with everything in you right now. When you do what you were made to do, you won’t have to regret not seeing the future because you’ve already done that ‘later’ thing ‘now’.

You can have comfort or courage, but you can never have both. Courage is the friend of accomplishment; comfort is accomplishment’s enemy. You will never be able to see what you can do until you stretch yourself to do it. Remaining where you are will only give you what you’ve been getting. But when courage kicks in, it forces you to look and move beyond what you see to experience greater things.

Everyone you meet is special, unique, different, and that is okay. We often see people as different from us. In reality, all people all around the world from all walks of life, basically have gone through the same things, want the same things, and do some of the same things. We are a common kind. Everyone you meet has fears, loves, and losses. Never let differences hold you back from showing love and appreciation to others.

Never accept limits. When limits are placed on you, refuse them. But don’t refuse them and do nothing. Refuse them and embrace all the possibilities that lie outside of your limits. Go beyond what you can see. Let your dreams push you outside of your limits. The first key, however, to not accepting limits, is to not have any limits in the first place.

If success were just given to us, we would never accomplish much. But failure is the predecessor of success. We fail before we succeed. We try, try, try, and try some more until we get that certain, specific thing right. Failure is a teacher. Success is the reward of learning what failure teaches. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. We are truly growing when we learn from our failures and ultimately do better.

An arousal to accomplish your goals must be elicited every day. That’s what we call motivation. Without a heart and a mind and a will to win, we will never succeed. Motivation lasts if we pick it up every morning and use it. When you aren’t so motivated, don’t become discouraged. Motivation drives goals forward to accomplishment. If you don’t have any goals, you won’t have any motivation.
