Many times, we’re doing better than we think — we just don’t realize it. Appreciate the things you can afford. Take note of the simple things — like food to eat, coffee to make mornings, gas for your car, and clothes to wear — instead of taking them for granted. Awareness of life as it is is the first step to building a life as we would like it to be.
Here are 3 signs you’re doing just fine:
1. You don’t have a “not enough” mentality. You believe that there is more than enough to go around. Your cupboard is full, your refrigerator is stuffed, your life is overflowing. Abundance is much more than tangible evidence and material possessions. It is a mindset that believes there is always more than enough to go around.
2. You have something to enjoy. It doesn’t matter what it is. Word search puzzles. Listening to music. Staring at the stars, Scrolling through Pinterest. Binge watching your favorite show on Netflix. Whatever it is. Have something to enjoy and make time to actually enjoy it.
3. You evolve in positive ways. You’re not the same person you were last week, last month, last year, or even a decade ago. When you can identify ways in which you are learning and changing into a better person, no matter how slow the pace is, you are doing just fine in life. It is hard work to make necessary changes in order to have a better life. But take heart that you’re doing much better than those who complain about the way they are but do nothing to change.
